Week 08: R&D Begins

We have still been working on pre-viz this week, however we have also moved onto the research & development stage of our project. So far we have focused on high res/low res modelling, aswell as texturing and lighting in tune with rendering. Below I have modelled a high-res shack, which i then turnt into a low-res version. The purpose for this model is so we have an interesting test model to research texturing and lighting. The final image is our first texture and lighting test, consisting of a 1k texture, and a HDR lighting set-up.   





In terms of pre-viz, we have put together the first draft of an overall cut for the animation. It still needs a ton of work, but the basic idea is in place. We have also started work on the lighting change within the animation, which will now take place within the courtyard.
